This year the Harwood King team were fortunate enough to win not one but THREE Awards! Winning Gold in the Serigraphies and Fine Art Category, Best In Show and Distinction.
Established in 1991 the FESPA Awards are renowned throughout the world of print.
This year saw over 300 print experts gathered at the Classic Remise in Berlin to celebrate the very best in print and signage. With hundreds of entries across 14 categories. Our studio entered 2 of our most recent prints demonstrating our full silkscreen capabilities and our innovative new technologies with an entry that incorporated both silkscreen and lenticular elements. All created here in our Newhaven studio and we couldn't be more proud of our talented team.
Gold in Serigraphies and Best In Show - Flower Girl
We won with this amazing silkscreen using 35 colours from a painting by Lizzie Richards. Multiple colours were used to create a painted texture to the final image. Creating the separations for the print required us the think about where the texture would be created. A set of cmyk screen printed colours was used as a starting point but then individual colours were separated and printed using artist pigments to closely match that of the original. Flatbed Digital Varnish with a little black was added at the end of production to help add a glossy texture to some areas.
