Dan Baldwin: A brief biography and

Dan Baldwin has exhibited alongside Banksy, Antony Micallef, Jamie Hewlett, Jamie Reid, Tracey Emin, Julian Opie, Peter Blake & Vic Reeves amongst others.
He graduated in Illustration/Communication Media in 1995 from Maidstone School of Art, before this he was at Eastbourne College of Art..
He is based in Brighton although born in Manchester. His current work incorporates bullets, butterflies, bullet holes, dollar bills, iraqi dina, spraypaint and emulsion. It deals with topics such as innocence, life-death, vanitas, politics, religion and often all in one piece. He also shoots these paintings with a gun to achieve real bulletholes, adding a sinister realism to the work.
He has featured on BBC2's THE APPRENTICE alongside Rob & Nicky Carter & Lucy Bennett and he's been named as one of the top 5 artists in the country by Sir Alan Sugar.
His work has featured in spaces worldwide including the ICA, the windows of Londons' Selfridges, Catto Contemporary, The Leonard St Gallery, Lazinc Gallery, The New York Art Fair, Blanch House, Horsham Arts Centre, Sussex Arts Club, Gallerie Suty Paris, 43 Molton St Members Club, Naked Eye Gallery, Opus Gallery & Britart Gallery to name just a few.
He has donated to four charity auctions alongside work by Matisse, Peter Blake, Tracey Emin & Billy Childish.. He has featured in the following publications: ELLE magazine, LIVING ETC, MODERN PAINTERS, THE OBSERVER- STYLE MAGAZINE, DAZED & CONFUSED, I.D MAGAZINE, THEME, PURE, N.C. and more.
He has produced an epic body of work in 17 years, including ceramics, clothing, sculpture, books, printmaking, illustration and backdrops, although he is primarily a painter.
