Harwood King Fine Arts Studio, Giclee printmakers and Silkscreen specialists, have been printmakers for more than 30 years. We have produced limited edition prints for artists and galleries from all over the world. We have always been an innovative art studio testing new materials and techniques particularly in Silkscreen and Giclee digital production. We have not been afraid to redefine the traditional idea of a print, combining printmaking processes to produce truly collectable limited editions. For example, in Slipstream by Dan Baldwin we combined Giclee, Silkscreen and hand embellished areas using 22 carat gold leaf and coloured foils. In the Apocalypse series of prints we fired bullets through the prints and collaged bank notes within the printing.

As expert silkscreen printmakers we have produced Limited Editions using up to 96 separately printed colours per print, resulting in prints with great depth and texture (see our section on Silkscreen printing). We were one of the first studios in the country to introduce fine art giclee printing; an ideal method of printmaking to enable artists to produce prints in small numbers at a reasonable cost . We are meticulous Giclee printmakers and the quality of photography for Limited Edition prints is vital, we use our own in-house digital 5x4 camera which enables paintings to be photographed and proofed in a matter of hours (see section on fine art giclee printmaking). By combining the printing techniques of Giclee and Silkscreen with the addition of hand finishes, the resulting Mixed Media prints produced at Harwood King are truly unique.

Our services include varnishing, the application of metal leaf, on to a wide selection of top quality papers with hand torn borders and other media. Of paramount importance to us has always been quality and artistic integrity.
