Artist's Statement:

"Still Life has been around for centuries but is often overlooked
as it often deals with pure study or measured painting of form. I am
interested in presenting paintings that somehow convey human emotion,
or 'Animism', - the attribution of a living soul onto an inanimate
object. My recent work draws inspiration from old masters,
particularly 17th century Dutch Still life painters such as Jan
Davidsz. De Heem."

Chris lives and works in Brighton. He studied Fine Art, BA (hons) at Cardiff University (1990-94)
